Here are some more movies I've seen lately that I have absolutely loved! Watch them if you're still on winter break, make it the first movie of 2014! All the movie descriptions are copied from IMDB.

The Kings of Summer

"Three teenage friends, in the ultimate act of independence, decide to spend their summer building a house in the woods and living off the land."

This movie is super hilarious, has great actors, and a pretty good plot in my opinion. What kid hasn't thought of what it would be like to live without their parents once in their life? It's more than that though. It's about love, family, friendship, and most importantly, growing up. Moises Arias's character is so funny, which is a plus. It also has Nick Offerman from Parks and Rec! How can you not watch this?

The Way Way Back

"Shy 14-year-old Duncan goes on summer vacation with his mother, her overbearing boyfriend, and her boyfriend's daughter. Having a rough time fitting in, Duncan finds an unexpected friend in Owen, manager of the Water Wizz water park."

If you couldn't tell, I like coming-of-age films, and this (I think) is one. It was just really nice to see Duncan grow up and become more confident. It tugs at your heartstrings. Sam Rockwell does a really great job as Owen. Makes me want to go somewhere for summer and have an adventure by getting a job...

Safety Not Guaranteed

"Three magazine employees head out on an assignment to interview a guy who placed a classified ad seeking a companion for time travel."

This is a pretty offbeat romcom, but it's worth the watch. It even has  Aubrey Plaza, another Parks and Rec actor, and Jake Johnson from New Girl! It's a pretty interesting story line that'll keep your attention. It has a pretty ambiguous ending, but it's still a happy one.

Hope you guys check out the movies. If you do, leave a comment telling us what you thought!

“And so with the sunshine and the great bursts of leaves growing on the trees, just as things grow in fast movies, I had that familiar conviction that life was beginning over again with the summer.”
F. Scott Fitzgerald
Woo-hoo for Summer! It feels like it's taken forever  for Summer to arrive;  and now that it's here, we're ready to sit poolside, crank up the stereo (people still use those right?), and stuff ice cream bar after ice cream bar in our faces. Down below are some of the tunes we're listening to this summer, and they're perfect for anything from a roadtrip with the girls to relaxing on one of those cute -but -ridiculously-priced doughnut floaters from Urban Outfitters ( here's a link if you'd like to see it) ------> (http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=25073578&parentid=SEARCH+RESULTS).  Anyways, enjoy & happy listenings!

Is what he calls his YouTube channel. Just saw his latest video today and it was the first time watching any of his videos. It was one of the best things I have ever seen. Oh my goodness, I love this kid. Jon Cozart is a genius.
You're welcome. Seriously, all his other videos are just as awesome. Ok just had to make this post about him, too good to pass up. Hope he didn't ruin all your childhood dreams ;P

Just wanted to make a quick recap of the movies I've seen lately that I've loved! Trust me, I've seen way more, but that doesn't mean they were all good. After all, this is 'Things We Love.' ;)

First up is 'The Dark Knight Rises.' I was never a super huge fan of the batman franchise, and I only vaguely remember the past two movies, but I have to say that after watching this, I really wanted to watch the other two again! I walked in after the movie started and it was only ten minutes in or so, but I got hooked right away. It was probably because I didn't know Anne Hathaway could act like that! Oh my goodness, she was such a BA. And I love it when the girls are the ones kicking butt! Don't forget Joseph Gordon-Levitt! I loved the reveal of his name at the end (Robin) and that left it open to make another Batman movie as well. Overall, the movie was great with an entertaining story and a surprise twist!
This next movie is now in my list of favorites. 'The Perks of Being a Wallflower' is about a wallflower who meets a group of seniors and their time together in high school. It's sad, yet sweet at the same time. I had the inexplicable urge to cry after the movie ended. The feels, man, the feels. I love absolutely everything about it. It hits all the right places for me. First, the cast is amazing! Logan Lerman, Emma Stone, Ezra Miller, Paul Rudd, and Nicholas Braun? Yes, yes, and yes! The story is great as well. Now this is a real high school movie and I understand why it is called a coming of age film. I'll have to read the book soon. And before you think, " Oh gosh, they made a movie out of the book? It's gonna be terrible!" Don't worry, the author of the book directed the film! :D
Oh, 'Pitch Perfect", how you make me laugh. This is one of the most hilarious movies I've seen. Now it's not the best movie out there, but it sure is funny and entertaining. Who doesn't wanna watch a movie about acapella competitions?! Anna Kendrick is great, and I have a new found appreciation for Rebel Wilson. But my two favorite characters are Donald and Lilly. There is just something about them that makes me love them more. Also, the actress who plays Lilly is a fashion designer which is awesome and the actor who plays Donald is part of a freestyle rap group called Freestyle Love Supreme, which is also awesome! That's right, I creeped on them. This is also one of the most quotable movies ever. And they did the acapella version of 'No Diggity'! If you're looking for a light, funny movie, then this is the movie for you!
As you can see, this wasn't really a review but more on what I liked about the movies. I hope they convinced you to watch them though! They're worth your time! :) We'd love to know what you thought of them if you do decide to watch these movies, so drop a comment!
                                                                                                                                                                                                              XOXO, K

LANA DEL REY

"WHEN SOMEONE ELSE'S HAPPINESS IS YOUR HAPPINESS,THAT IS LOVE"    -LANA DEL REY
We know what you're thinking. Yes, she does smile; she's no Posh. She's more of a get a Mulberry bag named after you, star in an H&M campaign,  and get 20 million views on YouTube kinda gal. Elizabeth Woolridge Grant , under the stage name Lana Del Rey has caught our eye for a number of reasons. From her sultry voice to her eclectic style, we just can't get enough of her. Some of my personal favorites by her are Pawn Shop Blues, Kill Kill, This is What Makes Us Girls,Yayo, Every Man Gets His Wish, and her rendition of Blue Velvet, although some of her more famous songs are Video Games, and Blue Jeans which were preformed on SNL. The list could go on but without further ado, here is LANA DEL REY:

Sadly, this is missing Dean Pelton!
We can finally relax now. October 19th has finally graced us with it's presence. You know what that means! The fourth and final season of Community is back on TV! For those of you who have no idea  what we are talking about, Community is a sitcom that plays on NBC. The show centers on a study group and their crazy adventures in a very unique community college. This is one of the funniest shows out there and it also has some of the greatest characters on television!  Each character has some crazy story of why they are in community college and their own little quirks that makes them that much more lovable.

Some of our favorite characters include Troy, Abed, and Senor Chang. Check out these videos below and you'll understand why. Troy and Abed's relationship is one of the best things about the show, and Z and I are pretty much the girl versions of them. :D
We also have to add in that it's a very quotable show!
"Ustedes son sucios...because while they are both dirty, neither are my friends."~Señor Chang
"Tell me how to get this laid back or I'll kill your families!" ~Pierce
"It’s called a complisult, part compliment, part insult. He invented them. I coined the term. See what I just did there? That was an explanabrag."~Britta
      "Cool, cool cool cool." ~Abed
"60 dollars?! Hello? Rich people, Troy’s joining you. Yes, I’ll hold."~Troy, Community
"You know what I don’t get? He never wears a shirt; he never wears shoes: Why hasn’t he died from lack of service?" ~Jeff
While we are glad season four is finally here, we are a little wary because the creator, Dan Harmon, has left the show. Here's hoping that too many things won't change and it'll still be the hilarious show we know and love!
                                                                                                                                                                 XOXO, K
